The signficant passage of the case is, "The day I first read about the two-bullet theory, I knew I had to start questioning everything about the Winnie Ruth Judd case." Page 287.
Newspapers first reported that Sammie was killed with a .25 caliber gun and Anne ws killed with a .32 caliber gun. The bullet remved from Winnie's hand was from a .25 caliber gun. When Winnie was arrested a .25 caliber gun was found in the trunks with the bodies. The autopsy reports show that both women died from a bullet wound but do not specify the caliber of the bullet. It was never addressed in the trial either. Supposedly the newspapers got the two gun theory from the police and the coroner, so why didn't they pursue the information? This is just one of many examples of possible misconduct on the part of the legal system. After she was convicted, Winnie dictated a confession where she admits to killing both girls in a fight with her gun. She states that she woke up laying on the floor between two bodies. She then called Jack Halloran for help. If Jack was not involved, why didn't he call the police and an ambulance for Winnie since she needed medical attention for the gun shot wound to her hand? Maybe Winnie actually believed she had killed the girls because she was suffering from trauma from the attack and didn't remember what had happened.
I think this evidence and the cover up of this evidence shows the amount of corrupton that was involved in this case.
